I just received a news from two of my secondary school friends in regards to a matter and I’m at a loss for words- that don’t happen very often, mind you. I can’t even begin to fathom how he ever came to this decision: Is he going to be happy afterwards? Is it going to be worth it? These are just some of the questions that popped into my mind after the wave of shock has tide over.

Friends and Lover, which one is more important? And how do you define “important”? When one party forced asked you to make a decision, how do you go about doing it? How are you sure that the decision you’re gonna make is the correct one; one that you won’t regret? Is there even a right or wrong to this? Heck, do you think it’s even right when somebody asked you to stop contacting someone because of some reasons (which I won’t mention here)? Do you think that by adhereing to the other party’s wishes everything is going to work out?

Is this how you want your relationship to be build on? On insecurities, doubts and lack of fairness?

Some of us love to avoid conflicts; thus they accept whatever that’s thrown in their way and just suck it all up irregardless of how ridiculous it is. They fail to see the bigger picture and the reason. What they see is just the present, Ok, accept it, dont quarrel. Come what may. Bullshit, I say.

Relationships will only work out with effort and hard work put in by BOTH parties. By fairness (don’t give me crap like, oh love is never fair. then try to make it fair, honey!) , trust and genuine care&love for each other, then it’s gonna work out. There’s no easy way to it. Got a problem? Solve it- don’t use short term solutions. Crack your brains, pull out your hair, scream at each other, but eventually there will be that one solution that’s gonna solve your problem once and for all. If it still comes back, then try another! Falling back into the comfort zone by avoiding conflicts isn’t going to help.

To chose your bff whom you’ve known for 7 yrs over a lover for 2 yrs, that’s unfair. That’s harsh. I’m not a psychic, but I’m sure there will be this one fine day you’re going to regret this decision. Perhaps, you already are.

I need to learn how to let things go, how it’s totally perfect to be not perfect, to not be so hard on myself, to know that I’m afterall a human and I need pitstops to recharge myself.

I need to learn to smell the roses, to take things easy, that it’s okay if that dude in front of me is walking a lil bit slower than I would like, to learn to control my short fuse temperament, to stay calm.

I need to learn all these for the benefit of my weak lil heart.

Funny how humans must know that something negative is certainly happening to their body before they will do something to change it. Even though we’ll keep saying that oh, we need to learn to take things easy etc etc but who really does it anyway? I mean seriously, we’re living in Singapore, “relaxing” is not in our dictionary for sure. But hell yeah, I’m gonna try my best to change, bit by bit.

With all the hoo-ha and craze circling KOI, I’m sure sometimes you will feel the same as me.

That even though you will kill to have a cup of good bbt right now, but just one look at the snaking queue is enough to put you off. Or, you simply don’t have so much time to queue and wait for just one cup of bubbletea!

That’s what exactly happened say, 2 weeks back? I asked Alan to go and get a cup of KOI from his workplace (Outram) and he said the queue is forever too long and so he introduced this bubbletea to me. I tried the tea latte with pearls and I do think it’s not bad- at least it’s comparable with KOI imho.

You can add other whatsnot in your drink as well, like pudding, mini pearls, aloe vera, nata de coco etc. But of course, need money la.

Apparently Happy Lemon has more than 100 outlets spread across Hong Kong and China and Singapore is it’s first stop in SEasia!

Go and grab a cup and give it a try next time when you’re in ION basement 4. Where all the food gathers.

I think: Blame no one but yourself honey. You should know better that you will reap what you sow. You want better results in whatever the hell you’re doing? Then give in your 101%, and make sure it’s the very best you can offer.

There’re some people in this world who will be happy and contented enough to mix with the same group of “friends”, “friends” who’re still stuck in their yesteryears glory; i.e I don’t know.. picking up a fight with a person and winning it? You know, stupid egoistic stuff like that, and thus, they’re unable to so call break free of the bad vibes and whatever shit.

I think: Move on. It’s your own choice. Stop giving excuses if you yourself don’t wish to instill some positive changes in your life.

Example,

“Boarding the train now, give me 15 more mins!”

“Just alight! Walking asfastaspossible. Give me another 3mins!”

I’m totally the kind that will just keep dropping updates even though they never asked for it, because I feel that’s basic courtesy, like hello, late already leh, still must let the people chase you for updates meh? Very rude right? But apparently it’s not the case for most people. I don’t know man, if I’m the one waiting, most of the time I have to send sms to them to chase them for the updates. Asking where they are, are they reaching soon? Because most of the time, they will not arrive within the time frame they’ve given.

“Give me another 15 minutes.”

And half an hour later, still no sign of them. Super sickening, no?

Anyway, I’ve seen too many kids taking a lot of things for granted; no thank yous when you help them with something and demanding you to do things for them. One fine example is throwing rubbish for them. I’m sure some of you may encounter this in classroom also.

Other behaviour that irks me.

1. Not giving up seats for the fragile old people.

2. Thinking that it’s only right that people must give them things or treats or favors. Eg, asking people for treats (note: I know that people joke about this, everyone does. I do as well. But I think some people say it because they really mean it you know? Cause they just kept on harping on it.) Or, when people come back from overseas, first thing they do is to ask for presents. Hello, people owe you one huh?

3. I think point 2 boils down to just people taking things for granted, so yes, I think that behaviour is particularly irksome as well. Please remember, people don’t have to treat you in a nice manner, don’t take things for granted.

4. Not saying thank you.

5. Being demanding; don’t know how to ask properly? I’ve seen kids yelling and screaming at their maids for being “slow” , “stupid” etc. I’m serious. And lagi best, the parents are there and they do nothing about it.

6. Laughing at the less fortunate. Karma people, K A R M A.

I’ve just finished watching Glee Season 1 yesterday night with Joey and am now suffering some withdrawal symptoms.

I really love this show! Music, high school drama, cute Mr Schuster, seriously, I couldn’t ask for more.

Joey says that sometimes the way I talk is like Rachel Berry, talk very fast, or will say our own bad points then in the end, we will finish it off with a “BUT..” plus our good points. HAHAHAH. Oh yes, I do speak like that to him sometimes. Lea Michele’s voice managed to send down ripples of shivers down my spine many times when she’s performing. Like for Defying Gravity, or during the Journey Medley. Woot! But oh well, she’s a Broadway singer, I guess it’s only right that she can perform so well, and that she’s the star of Glee club.

Mercedez. The loud girl with the good heart- I love her voice too! And her attitude.

Kurt! (sorry la, I couldn’t find a small picture) He’s a gay in the show, a gay in real life, and he’s only 19. He’s no previous experiences in performing whatsoever but he’s quite a stunner in the show. I love his wicked sense of humour, his moisturizing routine (haha!) and his sense of fashion. Lurrrrve it! Oh yea, he’s BF with Mercedez in the show. But in real life, he is BFF with Quinn, ex-captain of Cheerios and Finn’s ex gf.

So funny. Do you know that before the start of Glee, they were being sent for dance practices for the choreography and whats not. The instructor was really happy to see at least an experienced dancer in the name list (Artie) but turns out, he is sitting on a wheelchair. Oh I youtube behind the scenes and stuff like that. I’m a Gleek.

MR SCHUSTER!!!

WOOHOOOO! I totally love him. He can sing, teach and dance. I bet he is a good kisser too. Whats there not to love about him? HAHA! He has a hot bod to boot ok! And a Broadway singer. Loving him please. And he’s only 31. Finally the man I like is nearing my age, not so much, but it’s definitely better than Hugh Jackman or Robert Downey Jr!

I turned around, greeted the kids, when someone at the bottom far left corner caught my eye.

I looked down, and with his dark wavy cropped hair, mesmerizing eyes and cute button nose, he’s perfect.. if let’s say I am 17 years younger. HAHA! He asked me a question, which I didn’t catch and I bend down so I can catch his question this time round when he asked.

And in the most gentle voice ever,

“Aunty W, can I smell you?”

Now now now, I know what you’re thinking, you must be thinking what sort of a question or request is that?! BUT! This is a 5 year old boy we’re talking about here, it’s really something that he just wish to do and he is really just popping a really innocent question; he wants my permission.

Me: “Okay… but why?”

“Cause you smell very nice..”

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Someone noticed my bodymist huh. Cute much?! The joy of working with kids, something you will grow to love once you’ve experienced it.

It’s so picture purrrfect that Joey mentioned, whoever is up there is using Photoshop to create many different layers, playing with the gradient and colours to come up with this absolutely breathtaking gorgeous view.

And I have to agree on that.

Mother Nature at its best, I say.

ps: it’s totally worth the 20mins steep climb up and back down, but just don’t go down after the sun sets (which we did, scary shit!) because the climb down is really pitch dark, with uneven steps, roots poking under the concrete path, holes at unpredictable places, not exactly the most enjoyable workout I’ve had.

Banana Nutella Crepe.

This is like one helluva of a snack. The vendors are absolutely generous with the serving- 1 whole banana sliced into strips then added into the inside of the crepe. When it’s done, 1 huge dollop of nutella will be spreaded out evenly on top of the surface area, covering every inch of it.

End result?

Warm and mushy fruits kiap in between piping hot crisp crepe soaked with chocolate. Life couldn’t be any better.

“IT’S SO FLUFFY! I’M GONNA DIEEEEE!”

So the class was rowdy halfway so I just looked at him and said,

“Hey assistant leader! Look at your friends. How am I supposed to continue on with my class?”

And do you know what he did? He walked in front to one of his friend who is the nearest to him, and one of the loudest noise generator and went,

“Keep quiet. You want me to torture you?”

O_O”

WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I STUNNED OKAY.

He then walked over to another boy and said,

“Keep quiet! You want me to slice you into half? *inserts slicing action*”

Thereafter I stopped him, said the necessary things (that’s not the right thing to say etcetcetc) and proceed on with my class. I have to admit, the way he said it was actually very funny, but NO! the things he’s saying is too violent for a kid at his age!

See? Let your kids watch more of the violent cartoons la.

Imagine when he walked into the classroom as per normal with his friends, like what he had done for the past 1 year, and I have to actually tell him that he is no longer in gym class? Awwwwww. He turned his huge eyes at me and was quiet for a while before saying “Ok..”

The class is always filled with laughter because of him, he is like our laughing bean.

I mean, I practically watch him grow from this timid lil boy who refused to do a forward roll, and even learnt how to hide behind my gym equipments and poked his head out and negotiate with us, “I d-d-d-don’t want do r-r-roll..” till able to execute a roll on his own so confidently. Awwww.

When I asked for a goodbye hug from him, he hugged me, with his small hands on my arms, and was very quiet. I held on a little bit longer than usual and he allowed me to.

Awww, JL, Aunty W is going to miss you. Very, very, very much.

I am back!

This is me in Ao Nang, Krabi. Otw to the hustle and bustle of the main road to get our late breakfast. We missed the free breakfast time.. so yeah. I rmb we had phad thai, grilled chicken and a banana nutella pancake from those motorbikes carts. Sinful but its like magic for my tummy.

I really miss the times there.

And we’re planning to go back there someday- not so soon la.

Will be back with more detailed posts if I am free. But considering Hong Kong, Macau, Langkawi posts are so back logged, I think very slim chance la huh. Haha!

When you’re up there, armed with riches and degrees or masters or whats not, don’t talk with your nose pointing up to the ceiling. What makes you think that given the same opportunity and privilege, they won’t be as good as you? Or even better than you?

Because I had a dream last night, and I dreamt that my carebear plushie do. -__-

It works like as if its a broomstick, and I can sit on it and zooooooom! I am off to the clouds and beyond! Pretty fun actually. HAHAHAHAH! In e dream we’re having this competition and see whose “vehicle” can fly the fastest and Hearts is doing not too bad! I am like the first few- in fact I’m one of those that need to be looked out for. Totally with my face and the carebear plushie all over the huge LED screens kind.

Hearts was a lot bigger in the dream. and I can sit on its back and hold the arms to steer the direction. We’ve lots of obstacles to overcome and also we need to cover a pretty long distance. I nearly got killed by missiles as well. But I managed to dodge it all! WOOOOO! I was pretty zai in the dream. hahahah!

In my dream, we even had this ninja course to go through. Dreams are indeed opposite of reality, cause I was pretty athletic and breeze through everything with Hearts.

But…. very funny leh. You know even thought Hearts is bigger in the dream, but I am still a grown up after all, so when we wanna take off, we will take quite some time to reach a certain height. Don’t knw whether is Hearts too small or I too heavy. hahahaha. I must use my legs and feet to do swimming/kicking actions to propel us upwards. hahahahah!

Very interesting. I always have such interesting dreams.
